What is the coalition?

The Alaska Alliance for Healthy Kids is a statewide group representing public, private, non-profit organizations and communities who collaborate to champion strategies to reduce childhood obesity and promote healthy choices for children. The Childhood Obesity Strategic Plan guides our work to make policy and systems change that create an environment where children grow up strong and healthy.

Why should I become a member?

It will take all of us to measurably improve kids’ health and reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity. Together we can turn the curve on this issue.

Membership offers many benefits:

  • Get active: Sign on to participate in work groups charged with guiding the implementation of issue-specific strategies
  • Stay informed: We will send out periodic updates about statewide efforts to combat childhood obesity.
  • Make a difference: Help set Alaska’s kids on a path to a lifetime of health and success

How can I be a part of the work?
