Summit Objectives:

Participants will…

  1. Be energized by nationally recognized speakers working in obesity prevention and public health, social marketing, local food promotion, and health economics.
  2. Learn about the Alaska Alliance for Healthy Kids Strategic Plan to prevent childhood obesity and how to work together to solve this public health problem.
  3. Build action plans to move the state toward reducing the prevalence of childhood obesity.
  4. Get to know peers and find opportunities to collaborate and leverage resources.
